BACKGROUND
Matthew Shearing is a technology & business lawyer who joined the Rouse team in 2019. His passion is helping individuals and businesses understand, manage and overcome the challenges of doing business in the digital age.
COMMERCIAL & TECHNOLOGY LAW
As a passionate advocate for the start-up and SME space, Matthew advises on many aspects of modern business. While he has a broad skillset in the wider commercial field, Matt’s particular focus is companies with a strong technological component to their business. Be it managed services, software development, privacy, cybersecurity or compliance, he’s a strategic advisor for all things digital.
Matt goes to great efforts to ensure he’s across the rapidly changing world his clients operate in, and hosts a podcast which covers many aspects of emergent technology. He regularly writes programs, deploys server environments and works with a wide array of open-source software to ensure he can genuinely ‘speak the language’ of his clients.
Matt is the founder of the Blockchain for Business meetup, a member of Blockchain Australia, the Australian Information Security Association and the Queensland Law Society.
