Matthew Rouse
Matthew is the founder of Rouse Lawyers. He leads the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team. Before he started Rouse Lawyers, Matthew developed his expertise as a commercial lawyer with some of Australia’s largest law firms.
Matthew specialises in mid-market mergers & acquisitions. These businesses tend to be larger private or family owned businesses.
Matthew also practices in general corporate advisory with much of his experience being with clients in emerging technology or organisations with substantial intellectual property.

Lisa Neha
Lisa is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. She is a highly approachable lawyer who is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for her clients. Lisa has a strong background in commercial litigation and is passionate about protecting her clients’ interests.
Mahoney Smith
Mahoney Smith is the head of our property team and has more than 15 years of experience in real estate law. Mahoney works across a variety of sectors assisting clients with acquisitions and disposals, property developments, leasing and management agreements.
Mahoney has extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism sectors having performed advisory work in relation to various hotels and projects throughout the Asia Pacific Region. In addition to her work in private practice, Mahoney has worked in-house for Boral and Aviva Investors Asia (under secondment arrangements), which has provided her with an understanding and appreciation of clients’ processes, challenges and objectives.
Ray Kim
Ray advises private and public investors, property trusts and developers on almost every facet of property sales, acquisitions, and development.
He is skilful at negotiating and finalising commercial property transactions, including leases and management agreements.
Ray also advises on more general property law matters such as easements, powers of attorney and caveats for his clients.
He has a particular interest and significant experience in advising on purchases and sales of hotel and resort properties in Australia and working with global hotel chains on hotel management/licence agreements and legal due diligence regarding hotel assets in the APAC region.

Charlotte Nielsen
Charlotte has practiced intellectual property and commercial law for more than 10 years, excelling in working across legal jurisdictions. She is admitted in Denmark but not in Australia.
Charlotte takes the time to listen to her clients and never assumes she knows their situation. She likes working with and for them to find the best possible solution to their problems.

A full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and undergoing continuous education including a Masters in Applied Law (Wills and Estate Planning) equip Tammy to focus on practical and effective outcomes for her clients of varying levels of complexity, from simple to complex business structures, intricate family dynamics, special needs circumstances and structuring focused on tax effectiveness, asset protection down to simple solutions often overlooked.
