Precision Mining is a Queensland-based mining technology company which is best known for its flagship mine scheduling software, Spry.
The company was founded in 2007 by Craig Morgan, Glen Barnes and Zim Chan, experienced engineers who saw an opportunity to offer consulting and software options that merged traditional wisdom and techniques with the raw power, speed and capabilities of modern technologies.
The acquisition expands and deepens an important segment in MICROMINE’s software suite, which covers the mining cycle from exploration to production control.
Rouse Lawyers represented Precision Mining throughout the entire transaction, including negotiation of the share purchase agreement and each founders’ employment agreements.

We were pleased to receive the following testimonial in this transaction:
“Rouse Lawyers acted for us in the sale of our software business, Precision Mining, to Micromine, a global mining software company. It was a substantial transaction and one in which we (the founding owners) relied on the Rouse M&A team to guide us through the process. We were very impressed with their efforts and tenacity in what was a complex and extensive negotiation process. We highly recommend Rouse Lawyers not only for their M&A expertise but also generally for growing SME’s in the technology space.”
