Background

Debbie has worked as a paralegal in law firms for over 25 years, and obtained a law degree in 2011. Debbie has successfully managed two small law firms and grew one of them from being a sole practitioner and 1 staff member to a firm of 14 over a 5 year period.  As a paralegal with Rouse Lawyers, Debbie’s main focus is assisting with conveyancing and property matters.  She has extensive experience with off-the-plan and body corporate management rights transactions.

Property

Debbie has worked for developers in high-rise complexes involving contract preparation and management, liaising in relation to apartment variations and finishes, CMS registration, all settlement preparations (often for over 100 lots at a time), calculation of settlement adjustments for all lots, attending settlements and reporting to developer for settlement funds.

She has also worked with leading Brisbane management rights specialist law firms for a number of years, during which she gained valuable insight and experience in both selling and buying management rights.  Her knowledge and experience with off-the-plan contracts has provided her with in depth understanding of the nuances of body corporate matters.

As Office Manager at Rouse Lawyers, Debbie oversees staff, work processes and administration. She strongly believes that happy staff are focused staff. This is one of the main reasons that Rouse Lawyers provides exceptional client service.

Debbie’s reliability stems from her professionalism, down to earth approach and pro-active communication skills.  Clients appreciate her honesty and “get it done” attitude and her ability to speak in everyday language, enhancing their understanding of the processes involved with their transaction.
